Get professional-quality results with proper preparation, technique, and the right tools. Transform any room with a fresh coat of paint.

Remove furniture or move it to the center and cover with drop cloths. Remove outlet covers and light switch plates. Fill any holes with spackle and sand smooth.
Wipe walls with a damp cloth to remove dust. Apply painter's tape along trim, ceiling edges, and around windows. Prime any patched areas or bare drywall.
Use your angled brush to paint a 2-3 inch border along all taped edges, corners, and around fixtures. This is called 'cutting in' and creates clean lines where rollers can't reach.
Load your roller with paint using the tray. Apply in a 'W' pattern, then fill in with even, overlapping strokes. Work in 4-foot sections from top to bottom.
Wait for the first coat to dry completely (usually 2-4 hours). Apply a second coat using the same technique. Remove tape while the final coat is still slightly tacky for the cleanest lines.
