Use a grout saw to carefully remove all grout around the damaged tile. Work slowly to avoid chipping adjacent tiles.

Break Out the Tile

Wearing safety glasses, use a cold chisel and hammer to break the damaged tile into pieces. Start from the center and work outward. Remove all pieces and old adhesive.
